The city of Guanajuato, or what’s best Known as Guanajuato the city of Urban legends, Guanajuato is famous for its museums, alleyways, mines, and festivities. The first-time walking in the streets of Guanajuato it felt like you entered history in time, to see colonial architecture buildings that were built thousands of years old come to life, to feel as if they were the first time they were made.  

The city’s atmosphere makes you want to go on an adventure to explore legends and the arts of the city, while having a sense of romance you can explore “la Callejoneada” which is a group of night walking tours were a group of people takes you around the city playing traditional music and telling stories of the past.

Ally of the Kiss or what we say “El Callejon del Beso” is a narrow ally which is an importance tragic romantic tale that was based on a true event, the story of a sad young true lovers is one of the favorites in Guanajuato during the tour they will tell the story with detail for visitors.

The Museum of the Mummies is a museum of naturally mummified bodies. This museum has 116 mummies of which are in a perfect shape, the variety of mummies are from 1864 and 1984 and each one with their own story, the cost is $97 pesos.

The Pipila Monument is found on the highest part of the city that will allow you to have the experience of the view of the whole city from above, rather it’s in the morning or night you will be astounded how amazing it is.

Mercado Hidalgo is a perfect place to eat traditional food and to shop for the best handcrafted glassware where modern and traditional are mixed.

It’s a Mexican restaurant with foods traditionally from Jalisco Guadalajara It’s located closer to the bus station towards the exit to silao.

Is a seafood and meat restaurant with a Mexican touch its very delicious, its located in la presa de la olla (la olla lake) you’ll have a beautiful view experience to eat near the lake.

The restaurant is an international cuisine with a nice rooftop ambiance with a casual European Mexican style to accompany it with a glass of wine to set the mood.

1.- Panaderia La Purisima

This is not a coffee shop, but this place makes the best sweet bread in Guanajuato. It’s called Panaderia La Purisima, it’s located downtown you’ll know once you start smelling the fresh bread from the outside.

Is a café shop with Mexican food its open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Simple, beautiful, and delicious.

Is one of the best coffee shops in Guanajuato, the coffee they use is from Veracruz, a nice small comfortable place to have a hot cup of coffee. It’s located on the side of the tunnels of Santa fe on Juan Valle.

A traditional coffee shop in Guanajuato, it’s a unique satisfying sensation to any plate. A little taste of home and comfort, it’s located on a bridge near the old entrance of the city.
